Featured Speakers – October 2013

October 4: Kelly King, Recreation Superintendent for the City of Fremont. He is in charge of operations in Central Park and several other city parks. He was our club’s contact at the city while we worked on the Rancho Higuera project.

October 11 Henry Brown, a friend of Linda’s, is retired from the steel industry. He will talk about some of the projects he once worked on, including the San Francisco Bay Bridge.

October 18 John Roberts will share with us some of the experiences he had while working for the United States Secret Service.

October 25 Partner in Service, Ritje Rihatinah, Rotary Club of Bali, Sanur, Indonesia, District 3400. She will discuss projects that The Rotary Foundation (TRF) has funded – in other words, how our donations to TRF have made a difference in her part of the world. Ruth Wenzel and her husband, Richard, will host Dr. Rihatinah for one week.

Ritje Rihatinah has been a Rotarian since September 1989 and her classification is Dentistry. Ritje’s principal practice is in Nusa

Dua – Bali. Ritje was a Rotary International Volunteer practicing dentistry at Fundcao Esperanca – Santarem Amazon Brazil. She has been a Group Study Exchange Team Leader (2001) to Brazil. She was the Centennial District Governor for Indonesia in 2004 – 2005. Dr. Rihatinah was co-chair of The Rotary Foundation Solidarity South Asia Fund handling donated money and projects following the 2004 tsunami. She was also a member of Rotary Extension in South Pacific Countries Committee.
